About Us

Cafe Polo has been part of the Miramar community since 2007, serving seasonal food, great coffee, and creating a place where locals and visitors alike feel at home.

Today, Cafe Polo is owned and run by an hands-on team: Briar Thomson (Front of House Manager), Adrian Green (Head Chef), and Lisa Turnbull Green (Head Baker). Together, we bring decades of hospitality experience, with Adrian having worked in restaurants throughout NZ and England.

Our menu is designed to keep things fresh and interesting. Our brunch offering changes with the seasons, while our weekly specials board gives the kitchen room to showcase new ideas and favourite dishes. Saturdays are famous for Lisa's every-changing donut flavour - a tradition that has become a highlight for many of our regulars.

Weekends also bring a fuller cabinet packed with sweet and savoury treats, while weekdays offer a smaller but carefully curated selection that's just as delicious.

Alongside out daily cafe menu, we love creating special events whenever we can, from Sunday roasts and one-off dinner events to Burger Wellington and other seasonal celebrations.
